FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Merus Tracker?

Merus Tracker is a passenger transport management platform. It connects planning, trips, people and contracts to monitor operations, verify the service delivered and support data-driven decisions.

What is transport management?

A passenger transport management platform is software that connects planning, execution, passengers, suppliers and contracts. Merus Tracker organizes this information in a single view of the trip to help companies and public agencies monitor the service, investigate discrepancies and keep operational evidence traceable.

How does auditing work?

Auditing relates the planned trip to GPS positions, times and boarding records available in the project. With this foundation, Merus Tracker helps verify route, departures, arrivals and service, compare planned against actual and consult the review history. Sources and equipment are defined in the scope of each operation.

How is it different from a tracker?

Vehicle tracking mainly reports the position and movement of the vehicle. Transport management relates these records to routes, stops, schedules, shifts, boardings, passengers and contracts. Merus Tracker can use existing tracking and telemetry data when source, quality and integration are technically validated.

How do you compare planned and actual?

Merus Tracker relates routes, stops, schedules, capacity and planned rules to the operational events available for each trip. The comparison helps locate delays, divergent routes and extra, incomplete or uncompleted trips. Data and observations remain available to support operational and contractual review.

How do you look up lines and schedules?

Passengers use a web lookup to find lines, directions, stops and schedules, locate the nearest stop and follow vehicle position, ETA, notices and identified boarding. The availability of each feature depends on data sources, connectivity, equipment and the configuration defined for the project.

How does HR check seats on the lines?

Merus Tracker cross-references the candidate's address with site, shift, lines, routes and stops. The analysis can consider capacity and active reservations to indicate coverage, no seats available, the need for a new stop or an address outside coverage. When appropriate, HR can register a reservation with an expiration date.

Can other systems be integrated?

Integration starts with an assessment of the available sources, data quality, security and the responsibilities of each party. Merus Tracker can complement corporate systems and existing tracking or telemetry sources when technically feasible. Connectors, equipment, timelines and capabilities are defined in the scope of each project.

Does it serve companies and the public sector?

Yes. For companies, Merus Tracker supports the management of employee charter transport, from planning to operational review. For public agencies and entities, it supports planning, oversight, control and auditing of public transit according to the contract and jurisdiction. Technology partners can also integrate data after a technical assessment.

Does Merus operate the charter service?

No. Merus Tracker provides software and specialized services associated with the project; it does not provide vehicles, drivers or the charter service. The carrier remains responsible for execution. The platform organizes information and evidence to support planning, monitoring, oversight, auditing and decisions by the contracting organization.
